– All day event, 150+ miles
– We’ll be taking off from Alfred’s and head towards Shelton via the Narrows Bridge
– Once in Shelton, we’ll visit the Peninsular Railway museum, taking a short $15 train ride
– Return route through Olympia, Yelm

What: Shaun’s Annual Rubbish Ride or Hot Box – Taco – Desert
When: Sunday, January 22, 2023, 10:00 AM, Poot at 11:00 AM
Where: Speed-E Mart, 1115 S 19th St, Tacoma, WA 98405
Yes, it’s that time of year for Shauns’ Rubbish Ride. Why is it Rubbish? Because there’s not much riding. This year we are going to sample some delicacies from a convenience store hot box, some delectable treats from a local Taco Truck and replenish our palates with desert at a higher end establishment. Be brave. The initial meet will be at the Speed-E mart on the corner of 19th and MLK in the shadow of Saint Joes which boasts an impressive selection of hot box morsels. You can even wash these down with airplane bottles of Barefoot Chardonnay, maybe some 20/20 or grab that Olde 800 from the back of the cabinet… Once our palates have been assailed we’ll navigate a circuitous route to Rico’s Taco Truck to sample their Taco delights. Finally, we’ll adjourn to Coopers to re-energize our taste buds with refined desert whether that be cocktails or cake..!!

Once again, Rex and Terry have offered to open their delicious home to the annual Firkin Christmas Party on Saturday, December 10 from 5:00 PM until everyone is suitably goofed up on Egg Nog… As always, this is open to all of our friends in the scooter community whether you ride or not including, but not limited to the Meow SC, Squires, FYSC, Malportados, etc. Bring a delectable dish to share, beverages of your own disposition and a white elephant gift not to exceed $30.00. (Note: If you are unsure of the address, please seek out your favorite Firkin Elf…)

Our very own Sakutta Sensei (Jason) has invited you to flash your white pants for one last gasp before Labor Day. We’ll take a bleached like ride over to Vashon, avoiding muddy puddles, grease and seagull bombs to convene at a local establishment in Town for plates of very dry food..! The afternoon will be a delightful meander around the Island before heading back to Tahlequah. Prizes will be awarded for the pants that still require sunglasses to gaze upon…

This will be led by our very own Sakutta Sensei. Savor some scrumptious breakfast Crepe Suzette(s) before we take a languid bonne journee through the countryside towards Sumner where we will relish in the salty pleasures of some savory Crepes for Lunch. The afternoon will be wrapped in a tapestry of mystereuse with au revoirs exchanged at Bob’s Java Jive at the fin de la journée….
